“A word fitly spoken is like an apple of gold in a basket of silver.”
I’ve always remembered those words, and all through my life, the importance of words, and using the right words, has played a very significant part in everything I do. Using the right words at the right time can be challenging. However, what’s important is that we use the power of words to explore, to learn, to reach out to people and to communicate at all levels. I believe passionately that we all need to make time to talk, to discuss, to find solutions, to work towards our goals, to get what we want. That’s why I choose to coach people, and why coaching is important to me.
My background is in teaching (adults). Teaching is coaching too. It’s about the communication you use to unlock the power within someone to help them achieve what they want to achieve. I decided to use my 20 years’ experience in the education sector to help and guide other people to realise their full potential. I also have several years of management experience, where I have practised my coaching skills in both one-to-one and group sessions, before adding to my skillset by qualifying as an NLP practitioner.
The rest of my time is spent doing all the other things I love, with the people I love. I have children on opposite sides of the globe, so I enjoy travelling, of course. I am a regular visitor to the theatre and music events, I read anything and everything, I cook, I garden and I spend lots of time with my friends, near and far.
If you’re ready to talk, I’m ready to listen…
