Well, hello February! 4 ideas for moving through this short and sweet month…

What will you do with this brand-new, shiny (and short!) month?  It’ll be over in a flash, so how about making a simple 4-week plan?  One easy idea per week to help your month go with a fizz and inspire you to whizz through all your other “stuff”,  Sounds manageable, doesn’t it?  And to help you on your way, here’s the framework.  Ready?  Ok, here we go:

Starting today…
Write down 3 key words that reflect a useful mindset for you for the coming week.  Put them up somewhere you’ll see them often.  At the end of each day, do a quick check-in, and ask yourself, “Did I do my best to be…[insert appropriate word here]?  The object is not to beat yourself up if it didn’t quite work out as you’d planned, but by revisiting the words a few times during the day, or even changing them if you think of better ones, you’re encouraging your brain to find ways to make your chosen mindset work for you.

From Friday 9th…
Each day, find yourself an inspiring TED talk to watch.  If you don’t know about TED, it stands for Technology, Entertainment and Design.  The talks are short: usually about 15 minutes, so you can easily incorporate that into a quick break time, or at the end of the day. You can search for talks on any subject that interests you, and maybe one or two that you’d not normally consider.  Fifteen minutes isn’t so long, is it, and you never know what fascinating facts you might pick up.

From Friday 16th…
Challenge yourself to a taste challenge.  Try something you’ve never eaten before.  Visit one of the supermarket aisles you don’t always explore, or a different supermarket for ideas, or, if you prefer, find an interesting, new recipe to try out with familiar ingredients.  This could be an opportunity to add something super-healthy or different into your regular diet.

From Friday 23rd…
As February edges into its last few days, take a little time to plan something lovely to do during March.  It doesn’t need to be anything lavish, although, if that’s what you want, you have my permission of course, and let me know what you’ll be doing!  Making plans for something to look forward to is fun to do, and that sense of expectation and anticipation is good for your feel-good hormones too.  Everyone needs a boost, including you!

As the month draws to a close, think about what’s been good; what you’ve learnt; what you’ll do again; and how you’ll build on your experiences to make March brilliant!

And if you need an extra boost for March, I’m offering a Mojo Maintenance taster session on
Wednesday 7th, 1pm-2pm.  Limited places, so contact me for further details and to book your place.
